10.27.09 - field notes
So I was browsing through the tumblr themes and I found this “field notes” theme which I think suites my purpose perfectly (thanks Manasto Jones).
We are Rescued Media, a filmmaking team from Brooklyn, NY and we’ve been shooting a documentary at Intermediate School 318 in Williamsburg Brooklyn for the last few months, documenting the struggles and triumphs of their national champion junior high chess team. We’re calling the film CHESS MOVIE for now, but that’s just a working title…going to have to change it real soon.
A lot has been going on lately so I think there will lots of good stuff to share - also writing out field notes at the end of shoot days will help me keep a record of our story developments.
Today I spent the afternoon with 12 year old Pobo, the outspoken and passionate chess team (unofficial) captain. Besides crushing his opponents in chess he is also running for school president and has been plastering the school hallways with flyers. Check out some screen grabs below.
