Nelson is an Award Winning editor, filmmaker and producer. He’s worked on a wide variety of content formats, from multiple Super Bowls for CBS to covering the war in Iraq for National Geographic to cultural icons like Comedy Central’s Chappelle’s Show, MTV’s Cribs and TRL but to new frontiers on Nickelodeon’s NFL Slimetime and Super Bowl XVIII Live From Bikini Bottom but also through VR with Oculus’ Follow My Lead: The 2016 NBA Finals a Sports Emmy Winner for Outstanding Digital Innovation in 2016.
Nelson is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. In 2009, he and his wife, Katie, co-founded their company Rescued Media, and Brooklyn Castle, their first feature, is one of the best reviewed films of 2012 by Rotten Tomatoes and is a an Emmy and NAACP Image Awards nominee.
